Department of Investments ( DOI )
This department targets and attracts investments to achieve increased economic development in the country. It works towards fulfilling the goals of holding and managing the commercial investments of the RGoB. It is constantly looking for opportunities to invest in various projects.
It consists of two divisions:
i. Business Development & Strategy: primary responsibilities are to identify business opportunities both in the domestic and foreign markets, formulate business plans, carry out feasibilities studies for investment projects, develop project implementation models and identify and set-up governance and implementation teams. The division will also study feasibility for mergers, acquisitions and consolidation of businesses or company. The mission of the division is to spearhead the development of commercial viable businesses and projects across value chain, geographies and in new business with innovative ideas, cutting edge technology and professionalism. The projects will be executed safely, within benchmarked cost and time and in the most optimum approach.
ii. Private Sector Development: The core function are identifying and training potential entrepreneurs, providing fund, mentoring, provide Business Advisory Services, Provide Support for venture capital, Promote DHI Private Partnership Projects, identifying and securing other Public- Private Partnerships and Providing policy feedback to the government on private sector development. Under this we have Enterprise Development and DPP Project.
