In pursuing a knowledge economy, and aiming to position Bhutan as a space for thought leadership and innovation, the Bhutan Innovation Forum (BIF) has been proposed as a periodic event that will bring together thought-leaders, artists, philosophers, scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors to build pathways for impact in Bhutan. 

Inspired by His Majesty’s vision for a Mindfulness City, the 1st Bhutan Innovation Forum, hosted in Pangbisa, Paro will center around Gelephu Mindfulness City and invite attendees to reflect, design, and deliberate upon how to build mindful and innovative cities. The first-ever Forum of its kind will set the stage for adopting a new approach to innovation and sustainability. The three-day event will take place from October 1 - October 3, 2024.
